Help us make IFUs better for healthcare workers and facilities.

Your input is critical! We are collecting data on the challenges healthcare professionals face when trying to adhere to manufacturer instructions for use (IFUs).

Regulatory agencies have announced their intention to enforce IFU requirements starting in July 2024, emphasizing the importance of following manufacturer instructions. However, we understand that this can be difficult, if not impossible, for healthcare professionals to achieve consistently. We will use this research to work with manufacturers to address the problems with IFUs for medical devices.

Your input from this 5-minute survey will provide essential insights on this issue.

This data will be instrumental in supporting necessary changes in the way manufacturer instructions for use (IFUs) are written and enforced. Your participation will contribute to our advocacy for critical changes that enhance clarity and effectiveness in healthcare practices.

The Healthcare Surfaces Institute (HSI) is conducting this research study in collaboration with Caroline Etland, former President of HSI and a faculty member at the University of San Diego. View a PDF regarding informed consent for participating in this survey.
